Rodents have been attacking crops in some places in western Burma's Chin state resulting in severe food shortage and leading to a famine like situation which has killed a few dozen people, according to a Chin NGO in exile. A total of 44 people, between January and July have been killed due to the famine, said the Chin Human Rights and Relief Committee at a press conference today in Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram, India.
